Art & Propaganda in Great Britain
David Low was born in New Zealand in 1891. He made cartoons as he grew up and eventually moved to Britain in 1919. His cartoons and posters during World War II and before it, commonly made fun of Hitler and the Nazi Party. His cartoons were even banned in Nazi Germany. Here is an example of one of Low’s works.
This work depicts President Von Hindenburg in 1933 trying to shake Hitler's, Goebbels's, and Goering's hands, but them thinking they're too far above him to shake his hand. It shows how superior Hitler and the Nazis thought they were.
